Festive Menu 2018

 

Starters

 

Soup of the day, made with the finest of local ingredients and served with homemade bread (V)

 

Gin cured Scottish salmon topped with salmon pate, served with rough oatcakes, garnished with baby salad leaves and a fennel oil dressing

 

Terrine of local game, served with piccalilli, toasted sourdough and a baby salad garnish

 

Cider braised pork belly served with Stornoway black pudding and apple puree, topped with a crispy parsnip crisp and a balsamic jus

 

Spinach, leek and smoked applewood tart, served with a pine nut and cherry tomato salad and a pesto dressing

 

Mains

 

  Scottish beef fillet steak (8oz), served on a potato rosti with sautéed spinach, shitake mushrooms, grilled asparagus spears and a Glenmorangie jus

(£5.00 supplement)   

 

Grilled fillet of Scottish salmon served on crushed potatoes with a chorizo, tomato and basil butter sauce, sided with baby vegetables

 

Roasted loin of venison served with pumpkin puree, braised red cabbage, thyme anna potato and a rich game jus 

 

    Roasted East Neuk turkey served with sage and onion stuffing, kilted chipolatas, sprouts, carrots and roasted potatoes in a natural turkey jus

 

Grilled Parmesan and garlic polenta topped with Provençal vegetables, balsamic glaze, red pepper coulis and a rocket salad garnish (V)
