Our concept is simple: Fresh, local, seasonal, and quality products combined with the creative and skillful accolades of our Head Chef, Stuart Archibald. Taking the meaning of fresh and local to another height, we use our own fruits and vegetables directly from the Craigsanquhar Estate.
Nathaniel’s family name, Spens, translates to “keeper of the larder” and our aim is to simply bring the best of Scotland’s Larder from our estate to your plate.
Nathaniel’s Bar takes the same simple approach as the restaurant but offers a lighter and more casual dining experience. The bar also features a wide range of single malt whisky and several Scottish distilled gins and vodkas. Our draught lager West 4 is produced in Glasgow to German purity laws resulting in a superbly refreshing pint. The bar is a perfect place to gather and unwind after a day filled with shooting, fishing, or leisure activities.
